SeatShareLK is a ride-sharing platform that connects drivers and passengers for shared travel within Sri Lanka. By creating an account or using SeatShareLK, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Platform Role

SeatShareLK acts only as a platform to connect drivers and passengers.

SeatShareLK does not:

• own or operate vehicles
• employ drivers
• guarantee rides
• provide transportation services directly

Drivers and passengers are solely responsible for their own conduct, travel arrangements, and decisions.

2. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for:

• providing accurate information
• maintaining valid contact details
• behaving respectfully and lawfully
• complying with Sri Lankan traffic laws and regulations

Drivers are responsible for:

• holding a valid driving licence
• maintaining a roadworthy vehicle
• ensuring adequate insurance and legal compliance

Passengers are responsible for:

• arriving on time
• behaving respectfully during trips
• accurately declaring luggage and booking requirements

3. Safety Disclaimer

SeatShareLK does not independently verify:

• driver licences
• vehicle conditions
• insurance coverage
• criminal records
• user identities

Users use the platform at their own risk.

Users are encouraged to:

• verify ride details carefully
• meet in safe public locations
• inform trusted persons before travel

In emergencies, users should contact local authorities immediately.

4. Payments and Pricing

SeatShareLK currently facilitates ride coordination only.

SeatShareLK is not responsible for:

• fare disputes
• overcharging
• cash handling
• refunds between users

Users are expected to agree fairly on ride costs and payment methods.

5. Cancellations

Drivers and passengers should avoid unreasonable cancellations, especially shortly before departure.

SeatShareLK may apply penalties, restrictions, suspension, or account removal for repeated cancellations, abuse, fraudulent behaviour, or misuse of the platform.

6. User Conduct

Users must not:

• harass or threaten others
• share false information
• use the platform for illegal purposes
• post fraudulent rides
• misuse ratings or notifications
• impersonate another person

SeatShareLK reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts at its discretion.

7. Limitation of Liability

SeatShareLK shall not be liable for:

• accidents
• injuries
• disputes
• theft
• delays
• cancellations
• vehicle damage
• loss of belongings
• actions of drivers or passengers

Use of the platform is entirely at the user's own risk.

8. Privacy

Users consent to the collection and storage of account and ride information necessary for operating the platform.

SeatShareLK will take reasonable measures to protect user data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to Terms

SeatShareLK may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
